Set against the earlier clocks in our collection, nothing could be in greater contrast than the Vienna Regulator with its slender lines and delicate proportions. These clocks which came in a variety of styles of case, some with movements of great complexity, were produced during a period of little more than 40 years at the beginning of the 19th century in Vienna and other cities of the Austro Hungarian empire. Many feel that the classic simplicity of the case makes them the ideal clock for the minimalist interior of today.
